Toowoomba residents donned their best attire and fascinators to celebrate the race that stops the nation in style.

The Chronicle visited the Hope Horizons Melbourne Cup charity lunch hosted by Rotary Club of Toowoomba City at Burke and Wills Hotel and dropped in as the celebrations kicked up a notch at Fitzy’s Melbourne Cup Party.
