‘This is the last time I order something from Kmart online!’

An Aussie shopper was left speechless after opening her order. Would you be this annoyed?

A woman has gone on a public rant after making her first - and likely last - online purchase from Kmart

The Aussie mum was hoping for that good dopamine hit we all get when a purchase finally arrives on the doorstep, but in this case, she got nothing but disappointment.

"I made my first online order from Kmart and it will be the last time I order online," she ranted in the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group.

"I [was] so disappointed don’t know what to say specially the baby romper!!!!"

Aussie shocked by the state of items in online order

The woman shared two images of her delivery in the group.

The first image shows a group of cardboard boxes squashed and a little torn (which should have been the biggest hint of what to expect from the contents inside, to be honest).

While she was able to forgive the state of the packaging, the grumpy shopper was not happy to let some of the items of clothing slide.

The woman's order included a size zero baby romper. While the colour of the item online was off-white, it arrived a little more "off" than "white".

The photos show the romper covered in dirt marks - something you definitely wouldn't expect from a brand new item purchased.

Is this normal?

After sharing her order online, many shoppers agreed that they would also be disappointed if this arrived on their doorstep.

"That's disgusting. I'd be demanding a refund," one person commented.

"That's pretty feral," another agreed.

But many frequent online shoppers said that it's not entirely uncommon for items to arrive this way - in fact, it's almost expected.

"Kmart stock is always dirty," one person insisted.

"Just go to your order and upload the photos and they'll refund it. I've had to with damaged items and they refunded them," another recommended.

And another offered a very simple solution to the common problem: "Just wash it."

Don't blame the retailer

Meanwhile, others said while they were a little shocked at the state the package arrived in, it was unfair to place all the blame on the bargain retailer we all love so much.

"That’s the courier company’s fault not Kmart," one person insisted.

And many others agreed.

"Seems like it's the courier company or at best their loaders and or driver's at fault I have had many online orders and deliveries and not once have I had a problem."
