The strange way Kmart shoppers are upping their pantry storage

Being short on pantry space is a struggle that feels like it never ends.

Sure, you could clean it all out, but what if it’s things you need? You can only make so much room!

One Kmart shopper has come up with what might be the perfect hack, and it’s using a product you never would have suspected.

“I have the solution for you!”

Aussie creator Dina, on Instagram at @dina.sweethome.style_, has posted a video teaching her followers how to make the most of their pantry space when they don’t have enough drawers to store things like cling wrap and foil.

But, the hack doesn’t use any ordinary kitchen product - she uses the 3 Piece Desk Set in Black from Kmart.

“If you don’t have a lot of kitchen drawers to store your cling wrap and foil and need the space for something else, well I have the solution for you,” she said in the video’s caption. 

“I did it in my spare little pantry, they have deep doors but you can do [it] in a normal pantry too between the shelves so when you close the doors the file box goes right inside. You can even do [it] on the walls if you have the space like a walk in pantry.” 

In the video, Dina adds double sided adhesive to the back of the container to attach it to her pantry door. Then, she could easily pop her cling wrap and foil inside.

“Love this idea!”

Commenters on the post thought the idea was ‘super clever’.

“They do tend to take up a whole drawer of precious space. I love this idea Dina,” said one commenter.

Kmart does it again!

Kmart has been on top of their game lately when it comes to kitchen storage, with another product going viral just last month.

TikTok creator @panapetite took to the platform to share her newest Kmart find - a turn table with suction pads for her fridge.

“Why is this the most practical thing I’ve bought for my fridge?” she said.

“This is a turning table with little suction pads so it doesn’t move around. I’ve got all my jars in there, and because I can’t normally reach the back, I can just spin it 180, 360 and back and forth.”
