Tammy Hembrow opens up on life after divorce amid Bailey Smith link
It’s no secret that Tammy Hembrow’s personal life has been tumultuous of late after splitting with her husband of eight months and being linked to an AFL star.
It’s no secret that Tammy Hembrow’s personal life has been tumultuous of late. The fitness influencer announced her split from her husband of eight months, and was linked to an AFL star soon afterwards.
Now, the mother-of-three has provided an update on what’s been happening in her world after her love life played out in the headlines.
Hembrow, 31, was spotted cuddling up to and holding hands with 24-year-old Geelong Cats player Bailey Smith as they left a Gold Coast lunch spot on August 9. The pair have been seen together a handful of times since.
It was less than two months after the popular influencer sobbed online as she announced she and husband Matt Zukowski had called it quits after just eight months of marriage, with the Love Island star recently suggesting he was the one to end things.
Hembrow invited her fans to have a “chit chat” with her as she got ready to wear matching outfits with her daughter Posey before a day out with her three children.
“I’ve been really good. I had a bit of a crash out the other day. I started filming a full crash out video I was gonna post on TikTok,” she said.
“But I could not get through it without crying — and there is no way that I will post myself crying on any app ever again because I’m just going to get made fun of.
“You can’t be vulnerable online cause people just make fun of you.”
Hembrow was referring to the video she made announcing her divorce from Zukowski where she had to pause multiple times to collect herself, explaining that she doesn’t think she’s always made the “best choices” in her romantic life.
“Other than that, I’ve been really good. I’ve mentioned before how much lighter I feel, how I feel so much more like me,” she said.
“I think that’s the key thing. Every day just more and more like myself. Looking back, as well, it’s crazy how much I lost myself and just shrunk and shrunk and shrunk.”
She said she has learnt a lot about what she values, like being able to just be herself and about loyalty.
“Never ever, ever make someone make you feel like you’re not good enough. Trust me, you are,” she said, pausing to collect herself as she started to get emotional.
She said the main thing for her now was just focusing on herself, her life and her kids. She said she didn’t want to pay anyone else “any attention”.
“Why give it energy. Like, literally why? For what reason, what good is it going to do,” she said.
Many of Hembrow’s followers rushed to the comment section following her raw reveal.
“Ugh the haters will always hate! I love seeing the vulnerability and the realness,” one said.
Another added: “Sadly, you’ll be judged no matter what you do, so just do whatever you want!”
“Please know you have a safe space with your followers who really love and support you. Your never made fun of for feeling vulnerable,” another added.
One said: “Proud of you gal! You are and always will be enough.”
“You’re a better person than me. I don’t like that he keeps yapping and you hold back from putting him on blast,” one said.
