'Not got a baby with you? You can't park here'

A mum has confronted a "Karen" about harassing a young pregnant woman - and her epic final words have delighted the internet.

People scream as heavily pregnant woman is blasted for using pram parking bay.

"I have just witnessed the biggest Karen that I've ever met in my life."

So starts a viral video about a car park confrontation between two total strangers... and an unknown hero sitting in a fancy SUV.

Mum Rosie was returning to her car at the shops when she overheard one woman becoming nasty toward another.

And there was no way she was going to let that slide.

"These bays are for children only"

Rosie explains in her clip:

"When I came back, there was a young woman getting into her car.

"I'd say she's probably about 20, 21 and she was visibly heavily, heavily pregnant. I mean, pushing the top 38, 39 weeks."

Rosie says she then saw a woman of about 45 accost the young expectant mum and demand: "Not got a baby with you? These bays are for children only."

According to Rosie, the young woman said she thought she could use the parks as a pregnant person, but the 'Karen', who was with a child of about eight, told her that wasn't allowed.

"Only once your child's here you can."

Rosie says she was "absolutely flabbergasted" with her "blood boiling" - so felt compelled to set some things straight and help the vulnerable woman.

"I did when I was pregnant"

"She was nearly crying. Literally on the brink of crying.

"And I said, 'You can use these bays as much as you like. I did when I was pregnant.

"Because you don't have to waddle for half a mile from the back of the car park to the front of [the shops]."

Then Rosie told the pregnant lady, "Not to worry about people like that."

As the 'Karen' "walked off in a strop," Rosie says with a smile that she was thinking, "I hope you have a shit day."

Then she called on viewers for support.

"Can we all confirm as mums and even non mums that you can use the children bays when you are pregnant?

"Because babies are heavy to carry - no matter what no matter what weeks you are.

"You're carrying a child - if it's a child on your hip or in your belly, you're still parent and child."

"Morally yes, legally no"

People in the comments were divided as to who was right.

"As a mum, 100% use them if you're pregnant," one viewer wrote, then added, "Only thing that annoys me is like 50yo men with no kids parking in them."

But this woman acknowledged that pram parking is a privilege not a right, so opined, "Morally I'd say yes but legally probably not."

A third shared, "I’m 30 weeks and I was debating whether to use it the other day or not, but I was worried somebody might say something to me because I didn’t have my toddler with me."

But other viewers encouraged: "How can you get out of the car when pregnant if a car is parked close without the extra space?!"

"Heavy pregnant mamas, use those bays!" another added. "They are for you too! Do not squeeze your bump in normal spaces and struggle."

Finally, this viewer noted, "I think they need to update their signs to allow for expectant mothers. "I was huge at the end and wouldn’t have got out in a normal gap!"
