Lil’ Blessings Daycare in Hamilton under investigation for Halloween mask video

A childcare facility is being investigated over footage of employees allegedly using “hideous” behaviour management methods.

An American nursery has come under fire after footage emerged of workers using a terrifying Halloween mask to torture horrified kids as a form of punishment.

The video shows several staff members at Lil’ Blessings Child Care & Learning Center attempting to scare innocent kids into better behaviour in an act described by parents as “hideous.”

Footage posted on Facebook, reportedly taken by a concerned colleague, shows one worker at the Mississippi daycare centre as she intimidates a group of children at a table, The Sun reports.

One worker can be heard telling the woman in the mask to avoid certain toddlers who have “been good,” targeting only those that have been ”bad.”

Many of the terrified children can be seen sobbing as the masked woman makes her way around the centre, yelling and screaming at the kids.

In one incident she leans over one terrified child and asks “are you being bad,” to which the child wails out “no” and shakes his head.

She then screams into the young tot’s face and yells “you’d better be good” before targeting another.

If the clip is to be believed, the daycare worker continues the act for several minutes – telling a second group of children “to be ready.”

At one stage, three scared children even resort to hiding behind a shelving unit as the woman pretends to knock down the door.

After entering the room, she then proceeds to chase the tots who start running and wailing in terror.

She then orders the children to “clean up,” even resorting to screaming, before storming off to another class.

The string of incidents, which appeared to traumatise the majority of children, was shared on Facebook on Thursday by a concerned colleague.

Posting a lengthy statement on Facebook she said: “A couple of weeks ago some girls at the daycare bought Halloween masks to scare the kids, they did it and I never got it on video.

“When I heard she was going to do it again, I recorded to get the proof and then the video was sent to parents to show them how their child was being treated.”

She continued: “I did not video this for sh**s and giggles. It was not funny to me. I did not get amusement out of this.

“The one screaming in the kids faces is NOT me. The one standing next to the girl screaming is NOT me. That laughing in the video is NOT me.”

Jennifer said she had tried to flag her co-workers behaviour for some time but, until now, said she was unable to provide proof.

Responding to claims by users that she should have contacted the police, she pointed to the same fact – insisting that cameras inside the daycare centre do not work.

“I have nothing to hide. I did what I thought I was best in that moment,” she wrote on Thursday.

“MAYBE, I didn’t handle it 100 per cent how I should have, but my intentions were good.”

On Thursday, the Monroe Journal claimed that four employees had been fired over the videos that went viral earlier this week.

The Sun has attempted to reach out to Lil’ Blessings Childcare for comment.

In a statement released on Thursday, officials said that they were investigating the incident.

“The Monroe County, MS Sheriff‘s Department is aware of video from the daycare in Hamilton and is working with the county prosecutor to see if there is any possible criminal charges that can be filed,” a post on Facebook said.

The later urged angered parents to not seek out the accused workers while the investigation continues.
