Thylane Blondeau has turned heads at Paris Fashion Week in a sleek black outfit.
Dubbed the “most beautiful girl in the world” when she was just six years old, the French model, now 24, joined the likes of Victoria Beckham, Ayo Edebiri and Kylie Jenner at the Business of Fashion BoF 500 Class of 2024 gala at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Blondeau cut a timeless figure in a sleeveless Sportmax vest and matching trousers, pairing the look with fine jewellery encrusted with diamonds.
Elsewhere in the week, she attended shows for French designers Isabel Marant and Nina Ricci.
The daughter of former French footballer Patrick Blondeau and television presenter Veronika Loubry, Blondeau shot to fame in 2006 when she was given her famous title by Vogue Enfants.
Blondeau signed with IMG Models at 16, and went on to work with the likes of Prada, Versace and L’Oreal Paris.
Reflecting on the global attention that came with that first Vogue photo shoot in an interview with The Telegraph in 2018, Blondeau said she didn’t register it at the time.
“When you’re small, you don’t really pay attention,” she told the publication.
“People are like, ‘you know, you’re the most beautiful girl in the world’, and you’re like, ‘I’m not, I’m just playing with my iPad’.
“Even today, people are like, ‘you are the most beautiful girl’, and I’m like, ‘no, I’m still not, I’m just a human being, a teenager’.”
In 2021, Blondeau revealed she’d undergone multiple operations for complications with ovarian cysts.
Sharing photos from her hospital bed to Instagram, Blondeau explained she had surgery after an ovarian cyst “exploded in her stomach”.
“This year I saw three different gynaecologists, I’ve seen more than four radiology centres in Paris and all of them said the same thing, ‘Don’t worry, you have nothing, it’s all in your head’,” she wrote at the time.
However, the pain continued and eventually she was sent for an MRI. It showed a cyst measuring more than 5cm touching her ovary – and doctors rushed her back into theatre for another emergency operation.
“Today I’m finally feeling better, I’m finally feeling free,” she added.
“I really thought I was crazy for complaining about my stomach for so long. Happy that I never gave up.”
She advised her followers that it’s important to listen to your body.
“When your body hurts, don’t let it slide and take care of it, you must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heals it,” she said.
“Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important.”
