MAFS runaway bride Natalie rips into husband Collins after quitting the show

Nothing was off limits in this tell-all interview that spilled all the beans on this ill-fated marriage.

Natalie bursts into tears at the Dinner Party table (MAFS)

In a candid interview with the Daily Mail, MAFS’ Natalie Parham left nothing off the table as she revealed the reasons for leaving the show and her challenges in her ill-fated “marriage” with Collins Christian.

Matched with the most memed-about husband in this year’s season, Nat quit the show on two separate occasions.

The stark reality

Natalie expressed relief at being back home and in her element after leaving the show, confessing that watching her journey unfold on television was tough.

She described the experience, saying, "It was sad seeing me sort of lose my sparkle, [and] watch the life drain from my eyes as Collins monologues."

A key factor in Natalie's departure was Collins' apparent lack of attraction.

She revealed, "There was no connection," and took a dig at his expectations, stating, "I wasn't Blake Lively enough for him," referring to his dream girl revealed in his audition tape.

Despite attempts to create a spark, Natalie disclosed that Collins' efforts fell short.

She explained, "He couldn't really say how he was going to make an effort besides offering to play Mario Kart," emphasising the disappointment given the sacrifices they both made.

Friend-zoned at first sight

Detailing their attempts at connection, Natalie shared, "We did go for dinner in Bondi, and it was more like friendship vibes."

She expressed feelings of neglect due to Collins' long gym sessions, recalling, "He would go to the gym for six hours, and I was left feeling alone."

Natalie revealed Collins' indifference to her personal struggles, especially her grief over her father's passing.

She expressed disappointment, stating, "It doesn't take much human decency to just check in and ask, 'Are you okay? How's it all going?'"

When asked if a better connection could have changed her decision, Natalie affirmed, "Yes, 100 percent," emphasising the importance of a support system within a relationship.

She also highlighted the impact a genuine connection could have had on her emotional well-being.

Collins' unseen side

Reflecting on Collins' feud with expert John Aiken, Natalie admitted she was taken aback by his strong response.

She noted, "I wouldn't say it was fun," and added, "I've never seen that side of Collins." His defensive stance during the Commitment Ceremony solidified her resolve to leave.

Surprisingly, despite the lack of a connection, Natalie still said she felt "bad for the guy" due to the potential impact his portrayal on the show may have.

The reunion and beyond

Natalie shared her plans for the upcoming reunion, stating, "When reunion comes, I'm gonna treat Collins how I wanted to be treated at the first dinner party."

As for another season, she expressed interest but insisted on someone emotionally mature and ready for a genuine relationship.

“I would love to give it another shot to see, but I have to be guaranteed that it would be someone emotionally mature and absolutely ready for a relationship.”
