MAFS groom's bombshell: In what world is what Jayden did ok?

I've come to expect all kinds of drama on this show, but this just leaves me feeling icky.

Jayden reveals a shocking secret to Eden (MAFS)

In Tuesday night's MAFS episode, the experts cut right to the chase as they delivered a box and a lot of drama to kick off Confessions Week.

Their first task?

Writing a letter revealing your deep, dark secret to your spouse– what could go wrong, right?

I'm sorry… What?

Jayden and Eden (my FORMER favourite couple) took on the task, and let's say I gasped aloud when I heard this groom's confession.

"My ex-girlfriend cheated on me. She was going on dinner dates, movie dates, and I even had guys openly admit to me in person that they had slept with her," Jayden began.

"I told her that I was willing to give her another chance, but I'm gonna sleep with her best friend while she watches," he added.

I have so many questions…

  1. How does sleeping with your ex's BFF make you feel better?
  2. Do you really want to be with a guy so bad you watch him sleep with your BFF?
  3. Which BFF is volunteering for this?
  4. Perhaps this BFF isn't the friend you thought she was?
  5. Was the ex just sitting on a chair watching?
  6. I mean, would it not be awkward having someone just staring at you while you get it on?
  7. Did she stay the whole time, or was there an intermission to get snacks?
  8. Did the BFF and ex ever talk about it again, or it's just one and done?

I could go on and on.

Zero regrets

What's even stranger (yes, there's more!) is that when asked, "Do you regret that though?" by his new wife, Jayden abruptly replied, "I don't regret it."

Eden was triggered by this confession, especially given her own BF and life. BFF got it on, and she walked away heartbroken and alone.

"The story was gross, and I didn't like it at all, but he didn't seem to regret it. That was the concerning part," Eden shared with the producers.

I need girl talk

Needing to escape her creepy husband, Eden ran to fellow bride Sara for advice on whether she was overreacting.

Babe, you don't need a third party to tell you this is totally messed up.

Naturally, Sara was equally grossed out and told Eden if her husband had revealed that, she would have kicked him to the curb.

"Jayden's not in my good books right now. I want to believe he's a nice guy just purely based on the fact that he's dating a friend of mine," Sara said.

"But this experiment is definitely speeding up those little bumps in the road that you're meant... to have in a relationship."

Where do you go from here?

When you're given that information, where do you go next?

Do you ask more questions, or is adopting an 'ignorance is bliss' approach a safer option?

I guess time will tell.

One thing I know is it'll make a damn fine dinner party conversation with Jack ready to jump right on this as revenge for Jayden's comments during the first dinner.
