But what if we told you, those signature scents didn’t have to be restricted to the bath or shower?

The Lush laundry hack we never knew existed
When TikTok user @kayleightaylor93 saw someone put the popular Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush in their washing, she decided to give it a go herself – and documented the whole process on the social media platform to inspire others to do the same.
“So I saw someone add snow fairy to their washing machine the other day and it made their clothes smell amazing so I’m gonna do my dressing gown and see how we go,” she said in her video.
She then shared how she used the item for her small load.
“So I’ve got one cup of the snow fairy and I’m just gonna put it down here in the drum with the dressing gown. Then I’m going to add my soap powder as normal. I’m adding a wee touch of softener,” she shared.
A Lush win for the best-smelling laundry
After the gown was put through the wash cycle, Kayleigh says she was thrilled with the result.
“It smells amazing,” she said before putting it in the dryer. “I’m fairly chuffed with that hack,” she added, along with a big thumbs up to camera.

We put the Lush laundry hack to the test
Big fans of both the snow fairy and twilight/sleepy scents, we decided to try out the laundry hack at home.
Nina decided to run her laundry with the snow fairy shower gel with great success.
“It was amazing. I put a small cup full like in the video and my washing came out smelling great. I usually smell like snow fairy, but now even more so. I love it,” she said.

But it seems as though using the shower gel is definitely the way to go.
Maddie, who loves Twilight decided to put a small amount of the body spray in her washing, but the result sadly wasn’t anything to rave about.
"I've been dousing slightly-dirty clothes in Lush body sprays for years. It's such an easy way to make them smell fresh again - and the scent lasts for ages. So I was excited to learn that people had also been adding them to their washing,” she confessed.
“Sadly, I totally picked the wrong scent to try this hack with. Twilight ended up making my clothes smell way too herbal. I haven’t given up though – I’ll be trying again with another one to see if it is worth raving about.”
Is it good for the machine?
It’s worth noting that the hack has been used on top loader washing machines, so if you’re planning on trying it out on a front loader at home, please read your machine instructions first. And while the team at Lush do love the enthusiasm, they too are a little wary when it comes to encouraging the hack.
"While we can't blame our customers for wanting their laundry smelling as good as they do after a Lush bath or shower, it hasn't been tested extensively and so we can't recommend using Lush shower gels or bath products in this way," a spokesperson from the company told Kidspot.
Instead, they recommend spraying the body spray on clothing on linen if they wanted them to smell great.
"A great alternative is to spritz our delicious lavender-scented Twilight Body Spray on bed linen for a restful night's sleep."
