A hack to make your fence look “brand new” has been discovered, with the key item costing less than $30.

Jay Shipston, who is a Triple M host for the Mackay and Whitsundays regions, took to TikTok to ask when somebody was going to tell him about this $29.95 Bunnings hack.

“When your fence looks old after a while. You know the grey colour? You know the one I’m talking about,” Mr Shipston said.

He said he recently discovered you could purchase Miracle Brands 5L Outdoor Cleaner and spray it on the wood.

Then, all people have to do, is gurney it off of the wood.

“It looks brand new again. How did I not know this?” he asked.

Other social media users were equally surprised at the revelation, with one commenting: “It’s amazing. I never knew that either.”

“Oh I was looking at that stuff too clean the outside of the house,” another added.

One joked; “Oh now you tell me.”

It comes after the appearance of Christmas decorations on shelves at Bunnings sparked fierce debate among social media users in early September.

With more than 100 days to go until December 25 at the time the items were spotted, one shopper noted her surprise at her local store’s festive display in a post to the Bunnings Mums Australia Facebook group, writing that it seemed like “a very early start this year”.

The hardware giant, far from the only retailer to jump on the bandwagon well before the silly season, is selling a range of items including indoor and outdoor decorations and Christmas lights.

The split rhetoric under the woman’s post was reminiscent of the furore that erupts, like clockwork, with the arrival, months out from Easter, of hot cross buns in supermarkets each year.

“This is totally taking away the magic of December and Christmas,” one person declared.

“Before long they are going to have them out in June!”

“Christmas decorations will be like hot cross buns soon, all year round,” another wrote.

“This is ridiculous. Already?” a third questioned, while somebody else said it was “crazy”.
