‘Bargain!’: Kmart fans in a frenzy over X-rated item

A shocking snap of a Kmart item has raised eyebrows online due to its likeness to a certain adult bedroom item.

Kmart has stirred excitement among shoppers with a $9 item that resembles something much racier than its intended purpose as a back massager.

The product, known as the Vibration Massager, features two vibration settings and is marketed for “personal shoulder, neck, and back massages.”

However, many shoppers believe its design suggests a more … suggestive use.

In a Kmart Mums Facebook group, one user shared a picture of the item and playfully asked, “Hey mummas, just wondering if anyone has used this? Are the vibrations hard? It says it’s for personal use … but how personal?”

With plenty of laughing emojis, others joined the banter.

One user quipped, “As personal as you want.”

Another joked, “Soon there will be an adults-only section in Kmart – a black curtained-off area at the back.”

A third user stated, “I bought it. 0/10 don’t recommend. You’d be better off sitting on a washing machine, to be honest.”

Someone else added, “Coming to an Emergency Department near you.”

One shopper said that seeing it in-store was “scary” due to its size.

According to Kmart’s website, the tool is said to be “perfect for relaxing after a long day of work.”

However, the three-star reviews tell a different story.

One reviewer wrote, “Not a great back massager. Very weak vibrations. It doesn’t help with getting knots out of my back. Disappointed overall.”

On TikTok, another shopper shared a video of the massager in-store, asking, “Hmmm, okay, what else does it look like?”

Comments ranged from “Only nine bucks, what a bargain!” to “That’s going to sell out now!” and “Kmart is wild for this!” suggesting that Kmart knew exactly what they were doing when creating this product.

It’s not the first time Kmart has raised eyebrows with its quirky items before.

Last year, a Reddit user posted a photo of a $5 product that looked suspicious.

The user captioned it, “Okay, didn’t expect to see this at Kmart today …” alongside an image of a pink cylindrical object packaged in plastic.

“Since when did Kmart start selling sex toys?” they asked, drawing comparisons to a particularly phallic adult item.

One commenter joked, “They really do sell everything at Kmart,” while another quipped, “Only $5, not a bad price for a d*ldo!”

In reality, the misunderstood item turned out to be a candle.

Kmart’s decor pillar candle costs just $5 and is said to create a “soothing vibe” in your living space.

In March, some products in their beauty range also had a striking similarity to sex toys.

Shoppers flooded social media groups with images of the collection, with many saying it stopped them in their tracks while shopping.

“Ummm dirty mind here anyone else? Spotted these at my local,” one shopper wrote.

Items included a microdermabrasion wand, LED light therapy glasses, and a vibrating cleansing brush.

However, the item that stood out the most, thanks to its interesting design, was the $19 vacuum pore cleanser.

The packaging clearly states what it’s meant to be used for, but its curved shape suggests something very different.

One person wrote, “I wonder how many of these products are actually used for their intended use.”

Another customer shared, “Husband got a bit excited when I brought home my cosmetic beauty treatments.”
