Macca’s Australia unveils its ‘spiciest menu range yet’

The fast food chain has revealed a new burger that features a “tasty twist” on one of the burger giant’s cult menu items.

McDonald’s has unveiled its “spiciest menu range yet” with three new burgers hitting stores this week.

The fast food chain has announced the Feisty McSpicy, Double Feisty McSpicy and the Cheese and Bacon Feisty McSpicy will hit restaurants on May 22.

As well as the three burgers, which are “next level” variations on the cult McSpicy, diners who enjoy the heat will also see the return of the Spicy Chicken McNuggets and the Spicy Shaker Fries

The fast food chain has announced that from May 22 there will be three new burgers — the Feisty McSpicy, Double Feisty McSpicy, Cheese and Bacon Feisty McSpicy.

“Our new Feisty McSpicy range offers the iconic Macca’s taste that customers know and love, topped with our Feisty Hot Sauce for a mouthwateringly memorable kick,” Lancy Huynh, Marketing Manager for McDonald’s Australia, said.

“In addition to the original McSpicy, we’ve got a feisty line up of new and returning menu items, so whatever spice level you’re craving, there’s something to feed the whole family.”

The new range is only in stores for a limited time only.

The sides are returning favourites including Spicy Shaker Fries and Spicy McNuggets.

The Feisty McSpicy takes the original McSpicy, a permanent feature on menus, to the next level. Macca’s said.

It features with chicken marinated and coated with a range of spices, topped with mayo and 100 per cent crisp Aussie lettuce, on a sesame seed bun that is finished off with the new Feisty Hot Sauce.

Meanwhile the Double Feisty McSpicy is exactly the same but with “double the chicken, double the spice and double the crunch”.

The Cheese and Bacon Feisty McSpicy comes with a “tasty twist”. The limited-edition burger plus bacon and Aussie Jack cheese.

McDonald’s announcement comes just a week after news broke that select Macca’s stores in New South Wales were trialling Wavy Fries, a crinkle cut chip that is much thicker than the fries Aussies are used to.

Despite only being sold in select stores, the new menu item – which have previously been sold in France – it hasn’t dampened enthusiasm for the potato snack.

“McDonald’s Australia is currently trialling Wavy Fries in select restaurants across New South Wales,” a Macca’s spokesperson confirmed to news.com.au.

“We look forward to hearing our customers’ feedback and sharing more details in the future.”

Macca’s were unable to confirm exactly which stores have it, but social media users have claimed to have found them at Penrith’s Peachtree, St Ives, Northmead and Mount Colah.
