Woman’s tiny ‘denim shorts’ baffles the internet

A TikTok star has left many people with their jaws wide open after sharing several videos dancing in a “confusing” pair of denim shorts.

Some have described it as a “jeankini”, others “junderwear”, but an influencer’s teeny tiny demin shorts have continued to leave social media users utterly confused.

Gabriella Ellyse, who boasts 3.4 million Instagram and TikTok followers, has attracted an even bigger following after she shared several videos of herself dancing around in a pair of shorts.

But the clothing item has left many baffled as to what exactly they are, including US mum and TikTok user Heather Cole.

“Girl can rock it. But for real. What are these?” she captioned her reply video to the social media star.

In the clip, Gabriella, who is the owner of activewear range shopgea.co, can be seen dancing with her dog as she flaunts her toned legs in the blue, denim shorts.

“OK, like genuine question though, like, what are those?” Heather asks again.

“Are they like jean underwear? Jean short, short, shorts? Jean pants? Do you make them, do you buy them?

“So many questions. I don’t understand.”

Heather’s video has been viewed half a million times with hundreds of people baffled over the item of clothing.

“My first thought was the jean diaper covers some baby outfits have,” one woman joked.

“Jean swimsuit I guess,” a second person said, while a third added: “OK hear me out Jean-kini.”

One woman sparked a bit of tension when she said young people today wear things like that.

“I feel so old for saying this but kids these days really wear stuff like that in public like it’s normal,” she wrote, to which others hit back saying, “They don’t.”

“I have seen zero, zero, zero girls wearing something like that where I live,” one girl wrote.

“I agree, they are half naked,” said another.

Some argued if it was “even worth putting those on”.

However, as many questioned her fashion taste, others defended her look, saying it’s just the same as wearing a bikini.

“If I looked like that I’d wear them too,” one person wrote.

A third TikTok user wrote: “She is dressing her age and she has the bod for it! I think it looks amazing on her.”

There were also plenty of people who saw the humour in it, saying: “Saving this for when my dad tells me my shorts are too short.”

Gabriella has shared at least 20 TikTok videos of herself dancing around in various colours of the denim shorts, with each clocking millions of views.

In one of the very first clips she says she is bringing back “low rise” denims – and from there she has continued to upload various styles, including videos in response to the “haters”.

Each have continued to attract a similar reaction with some people either loving them or questioning the shorts.
