There’s a wild theory on how you can tell a woman’s age going viral

Did you know you can determine a woman’s age just by looking at her photo? The answer is found in a “dead giveaway” we’re all guilty of.

You can tell a woman’s age by how she poses in photos

A simple hack going viral reveals how you can tell any woman’s age.

Creator Jenna Palek has amassed over 4 million views by claiming that the way a woman poses for photos can reveal if she’s a Millennial or from Generation Z.

Palek said she was an expert on the subject because she was born on a generational cusp. She was born in 1997, the year that Generation Z started.

Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996, and if you need a pop culture reference to understand that, think; Hilary Duff, Tyra Banks and Lara Bingle.

Gen Zers were born between 1997 and 2012, and once again, if you need a celebrity reference, think; Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and Bindi Irwin.

Palek has grown up at a cultural crossroads, heavily influenced by Millennial culture while also being a firm Gen Zer.

So, how can you tell a woman’s age?

The quickest way is likely to check their social media platforms not because they’ll have their age written there but because their body language will be a dead giveaway.

In a detailed video, Palek explained that Millennial women give their ages away because of their poses.

According to Palek, a classic Millennial pose that is a “dead giveaway” features “a light knee bend, hand on the hip, lean forward, cock your head to the side and smile”.

If they want an extra playful pose, they’ll throw their hands in the air and offer a cheeky grin.

Gen Zers have different poses that they embrace wholeheartedly, usually in their low-rise jeans, Palek states.

There’s the classic clasp-your-hands-together pose as if you are holding “an imaginary marble” or the more generic winner – the “leg pop”.

“One leg comes before the other, a little hip tilt, and smile,” she explains.

Gen Zers, unlike Millennials, don’t pose in a way that looks like “yay”; instead, they pose in a cuter way.

It is more subtle.

If Gen Zers want to go for a wild pose, they’ll give the classic rock symbol with their hands or take a photo from a high angle that makes their head look huge, called the “fish-eyed” look.

Palek’s theory is bang on when you look at the facts and the comment section on the TikTok.

“This is very accurate,” someone commented.

“Feeling quite attacked,” another joked.

“Spot on.” another praised.

“I feel very seen,” another shared.

One woman simply commented “so real” under the TikTok.

It isn’t just women on the internet agreeing though. Plenty of celebrities have been spotted in the correct age brackets, throwing down the iconic poses.

Actress Hilary Duff has been spotted with the hand on the hip pose, and supermodel Gisele Bündchen has been seen doing the same and Australia’s own Bec Judd has been seen doing that pose as well.

The rising stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo pose very differently and often with their hands touching or with a leg slightly forward.

So, if you want to know a woman’s age check to see how she poses in photos.
