Millennial women have invented a whole new ‘girl uniform’

A hilarious viral video has exposed a fashion trend started by Gen Zers that millennials have taken too far.

The ultimate girl uniform for 2024

Generation Z came along and changed how millennials dress but … they all still dress exactly the same.

Creator Toni Marotti posted a video to TikTok exposing the new “girl uniform”, which has amassed over four million views.

The clip hilariously shows a bunch of millennial women hanging out together at a party, and all of them happen to be wearing a variation of the exact same outfit.

Before you jump to conclusions, this wasn’t a themed party. This is apparently just the fashion now.

Every woman in the video wears a long-sleeved body suit and a pair of slightly loose fitting, high waisted jeans.

There are a few variations. Some have paired their outfit with John Lennon inspired sunglasses or trucker hats, but their outfits are almost identical.

The shoe of choice is slightly more mixed, but the chunky white sneaker makes an appearance multiple times.

One woman commented and inquired if this outfit was simply another Gen Z thing, but Marotti replied and said none of the girls in the clip belong to that generation.

Someone else observed that this was simply the new millennial “core”, and another claimed this was just the latest version of the “going out” top and jeans.

Millennials used to have a different version of this uniform, but instead of baggy jeans, it was skinny ones, and instead of a skin-tight body suit, it was a loose-flowing top.

Those tops were called “nice” tops, and the word “nice” was used liberally.

It was the outfit everyone wore when they wanted to feel good and was typically reserved for dates and parties. You weren’t just going to chuck on the jeans and a nice top combination and toddle off to the supermarket. That’d be considered a waste.

Alas, everything has now changed.

The change is owed to Generation Z, who got older, started putting together chic outfits, and told millennials their clothing choices were cringe-worthy.

Suddenly, millennial women had to return to the drawing board and shimmy off their skinny jeans. Anyone who has ever worn skinny jeans knows you can’t just whip them off.

Naturally, millennial women have had a bit of a brainstorm and all landed on the same outfit. They’ll still wear a nice top, but this time it’ll be black and fitted, and they are sticking to their jeans, but this time they’ll be slightly looser.

In happy news, the millennial women are absolutely wrapped in the new uniform and think it is the height of fashion.

“The best girl uniform that exists,” someone praised.

Another claimed the outfit was so good because it works on everyone, one said everyone in the video is slaying, and another called the combination “elite.”

One thing we know for sure: Millennial women might adapt to the trends but they’ll always love dressing the same.
