Pip Edwards has shut down claims she photoshopped a recent photo after fans called out a “weird” detail in her snap.

The influencer and co-founder of activewear brand P.E. Nation shared a series of images to celebrate “kicking off” Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.

In the photos, Edwards can be seen posing at a bar in Sydney’s Shell House wearing a statement dress from KOURH.

The mini-dress featured oversized sleeves and two cut outs across the midriff – but it wasn’t the cheeky flash of flesh that had followers talking.

It was the 42-year-old’s leg that had actually captured attention, with fans calling it “confusing” and asking whether she had badly edited her snaps.

“Nice outfit, you should check your leg edits tho,” one said.

“The second pic is weird and [Photo]shopped. FYI,” another accused.

Others were more empathetic, asking: “What happened to your leg?”

“The crossed legs are confusing me…” another pressed.

As one stated: “Your knee has me intrigued and I knee to know.”

“Are you OK?” another chipped in.

The furore over her “weird” leg prompted Edwards to shut down any suggestion she had digitally altered her photographs.

“It’s the shadow cast from the bar and it’s real,” she wrote back in the comments section.

She reinforced the explanation to another, stating “the shadow cast from the bar”, forming an optical illusion on her limb.

A second photo shows the shadow more clearly, appearing as a horizontal stripe across her left leg, while not messing with your mind in the process.

Many weren’t fazed by the bizarre detail, quickly praising Edwards’ outfit, labelling it “on point”.

“You looked amazing as always,” one said.

“You are a vision,” another added.

The Photoshop claims come just weeks after Edwards opened up about the effects of being diagnosed as perimenopausal at the age of just 39.

Speaking at the official launch of Witchery’s 2023 White Shirt Campaign in Sydney last month, the mum-of-one described her shock diagnosis three years ago as “a huge wake-up call”.

“I hit early menopause at 39, which is something so many women struggle with privately, and it was a huge wake-up call,” she said at the star-studded event at Bennelong.

“I was in denial, enduring symptoms for so long, because I simply didn’t know what it was and I didn’t think it could be me.

“I wish I knew more about female’s health before my diagnosis and to be completely honest, it wasn’t really a priority.”

Edwards became audibly choked, telling guests: “I don’t know why I am so emotional. So sorry.”

Edwards designed this year’s white shirt as part of the iconic campaign which raises money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).

The #WhiteShirtCampaign is the largest funder of ovarian cancer research in Australia, raising over $15 million since its inception in 2008, with 100 per cent of gross proceeds being donated to the OCRF.
