Don't get too attached! FWAW contestants go rogue sharing new relationships

Can we not just enjoy a show anymore?

First look at Farmer Wants a Wife: Sneak peak drops

One of the biggest complaints from viewers around the last season of MAFS (although, there were many) was the contestants going rogue and filling in the gaps in their stories before they’d even been aired completely ruined the show.

And, it seems after only one episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, we’re going to see the same thing happening again, with two contestants going public with new relationships outside of the show.

All new Farmers!

In the first episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, there is always a lot to take in.

Last night, we saw a total of 32 speed dates - eight per farmer - allowing us to get to know each of the new girls as best as possible.

One wrote a sonnet, one brought schooners, and another may or may not have been their farmer’s cousin (which felt weirdly on brand).

But, of course, viewers couldn’t just be left to enjoy the show, instead being met with news that one of the top contenders was actually not an option at all.

A few chaotic dates

Last night, one of the most notable date moments came from 29-year-old Emmie-Rose.

A fitness coach and former competitive bikini model, it’s no surprise that her speed dating idea involved asking Farmer Tom about his own fitness practices - which according to him, is limited to chasing goats.

“Do you have a six pack, or you don’t?” she asks him.

And, when Farmer Tom says no, she asks him to ‘test his strength’ and pick her up.

Viewers will also certainly remember Farmer Corey’s date with Ellie, age 22, in which she brought in a basket with cake for them to share.

“I did go that little extra step to show him I do care, and I do have a lot of love to give,” she said.

Spoiler alert!

Unfortunately for anyone rooting for these ladies, we’re sorry to break it to you, but neither of them will be walking down the aisle with their respective farmers - instead announcing new relationships outside of the show.

Emmie-Rose took to Instagram just last month to share the news, in a post captioned ‘My Love’.

Ellie shared a similar joint post with her new beau a few weeks ago as well, with some support from her fellow FWAW contestants in the comments.

“You guys!” commented Brianna - the alleged cousin from earlier.

Ellie did end up being eliminated at the end of the first episode, sharing a tearful goodbye to Farmer Corey, so there’s not too much shock here.

But, we won’t find out Emmie-Rose’s fate until tonight - whatever happens, it seems we already have a pretty good idea.
