Cat stuck inside toy vending machine

THIS could turn out to be the best prize ever after a plucky feline snuck into a claw game machine to keep warm.

THIS plucky feline found a great way to escape from the cold, after sneaking into a vending machine and lying on a pile of stuffed toys.

The snap was taken in the well-known Serbian spa town of Vrnjacka Banja, which also includes a town centre filled with UNESCO protected medieval buildings.

The entire area had been transformed by a blanket of snow and this cat had apparently been looking for a way to get out of the cold when it spotted the vending machine outside a local cinema.

The cat was unconcerned about the attention attracted, including the fact that several cinemagoers tried to see if they could win the cat in among the other items on offer including teddy bears, turtles, ducks and monkeys.

It was eventually freed after police contacted the operator of the claw machine who opened it up to remove the cat.

A police spokesman said: “During the weekend the temperature in southeastern Serbia was below 19 degrees Celsius. It’s not a surprise that it wanted to get out the cold.”
