An Australian fashion entrepreneur has confirmed she’s split from her husband – three months after the couple welcomed their first child.
Bridgett Roccisano, who created Booby Tape with her sister Bianca, confirmed she has separated from her husband of two years, Joshua Cavallaro.
The 31-year-old said she was “devastated” by the break-up and stressed her focus was on their young daughter Elle who she gave birth to in April.
“This year has brought more change than I could have ever imagined. Becoming a mother has been the most profound and beautiful gift of my life,” Ms Roccisano wrote in a statement posted to Instagram on Monday.
“While I am devastated and disappointed the journey hasn’t unfolded the way I envisioned, as family is everything to me, I’ve discovered a strength within myself that I never knew existed for both my daughter and I.
“Elle and I may be walking a different path now, but it’s one filled with support and most importantly, stability and love.”
The new mum’s heartfelt admission comes just hours after she posted a series of photos on social media that appeared to show her without her wedding ring, sparking speculation about her marriage.
In the snaps, Ms Roccisano, who also shares cult fashion label Bianca and Bridgett with her elder sister, could be seen in a “sold out” red-wine coloured suit from the brand’s latest collection.
“It’s been a minute! Suit, always @biancaandbridgett,” she captioned the post.
But some eagle-eyed followers were quick to spot her left hand, which was holding her phone as she took the mirror selfies, didn’t have her statement diamond sparkler.
Mr Cavallaro hasn’t spoken publicly about his marriage breakdown, but according to the Daily Mail, he has removed all images of his wife from his social media pages.
Ms Roccisano, who became a self-made millionaire alongside her sister Bianca after launching Booby Tape – a “breast lift in a box” – in March 2019, married Mr Cavallaro, a senior draftsman for the civil engineering firm Laker Group, in April 2023, two years after they got engaged.
It comes after both Booby Tape and Bianca & Bridgett hit major business milestones. The fashion brand recently landed a deal to be stocked in David Jones stores across the country, while the body adhesive will soon be stocked in Boots, a major British beauty retailer.
