As Beyonce was wrapping up her Renaissance tour abroad, videos of her daughter Blue Ivy dancing on stage with her went viral. 

They highlighted just how much the 11-year-old had improved since the first night she stepped into the spotlight with her superstar mum and everyone was lapping it up.

But there's a sad truth behind the youngster's appearance on tour.

Using troll comments as fuel to be better

Beyonce revealed that Blue's appearance on stage was first met with a heap of comments from trolls who critiqued her dance moves in the most brutal way. 

Some claimed Beyonce and Jay Z's first born was "too stiff" and that her moves where "uninspired" - no match to her superstar mum who she was sharing the stage with. 

And Blue Ivy saw them all. 

It was a lot for a pre-teen to see while she was putting herself out to the world for the first time.

But instead of running away and getting down over the negative comments, Blue used them as inspiration to get better.

And better she did indeed get!

Proud mum and a stubborn daughter

During the film, the 42-year-old Grammy winner also revealed how Blue's appearance on the tour was a result of her daughter's persistence. 

According to Beyonce, Blue's appearance was meant to be a one-off performance and even that, mum wasn't too keen on. 

"She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no," Beyonce says in the film. 

Despite the initial negative comments, mum knew how much her little one was slaying on stage, sharing a heartfelt tribute to her first born on social media to congratulate her on the task. 

"My beautiful first born. I'm so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel," she wrote, while sharing a series of snaps from the tour.
