"Just don't breathe in!"
A Brisbane Reddit user has taken to the platform to share a photo of a new playground in the area.
The playground, located in Brisbane’s new Queen’s Wharf Precinct, looks fairly normal at first. However, once you notice its location, things start to get a little fishy.
“The playground in front of the casino is now open. Just don't breathe in!” the poster said.
Not only is the playground pictured just metres from a casino, the covering above it is also actually a major road.

"Nothing says 'family friendly' like urbanisation with a side of gambling addiction"
Many commenters on the post shared concern about the placement of the playground, with the majority worried about the closeness of the road.
“Pros: lots of shade for the kids. Cons: lots of carcinogens for the kids,” said one person.
“Living within 50m of a 6 lane highway is the equivalent of smoking something like a pack a day. That is a terrible location for a playground,” said another.
“While I’m glad they’re using the space for something community oriented, that must be awfully loud, particularly for smaller children,” a third agreed.
Others, about its closeness to The Star.
“Great spot to leave the kids while you piss away their inheritance,” one person joked.
“Finally! Somewhere sun-safe where I can dump my kids while I gamble away my cenno,” said another.
“Ah yes, nothing says 'family friendly' like urbanisation with a side of gambling addiction. Childhood nostalgia in the making,” another added.
Some simply said it looked a little bit sad.
“It looks so.... sad? Were the creators of this held at gunpoint while they designed and made it?” said one person.
“What a depressing area to leave your kids. Even for the kids it’s depressing lol; constant sound of cars, massive metal poles all around you and sunlight blocked by the motorway right above. And that swing just looks like they spent the bare minimum to get it made,” another agreed.
“Gees this is some dystopian shit. Would've been better off just putting some plants in there,” said another.
"It's actually quite nice down there..."
Not everyone was spreading doom and gloom, with a number of people instead saying it’s not as bad IRL as it looks here… kinda.
“It’s actually quite nice down there. Photo doesn’t do it justice but it’s a good spot. They’ve done well with what they had,” said one person.
“It's the CBD. You'd be having a whinge if the area was unused and had no playground or workout equipment. Now it does have that equipment you're going to have a whinge that the riverside expressway is above it. Piss off,” another agreed.
“Am I the only one who thinks that whole area is nice? Would I want to go there all the time with my kids? No. But I have walked along and my kids have played in the area (before the playground opened). It’s nice overlooking the river,” a third person said.
