He’s just pulled out of a celebrity boxing bout to focus on a film role but now AFL legend Warwick Capper has revealed he’s being tested to see if head knocks during his footy career are causing his memory loss.

Flamboyant former AFL star Warwick Capper has revealed he is undergoing tests to see if he sustained any damage from head knocks during his high flying footy career.

Capper has pulled out of a planned celebrity boxing bout to focus on a new film role and his podcast.

Meanwhile, he has been undergoing tests to get to the bottom of some memory issues.

He was recently diagnosed with ADHD.

The celebrity bout against Jesse Dardha was proposed for next month before going by the wayside.

“Because I am doing stuff about head knocks, I won’t be doing that,” he said.

“I have been having head scans and doing tests.

“I had a lot of head knocks over my football journey. I fell on my head a couple of times.

“I forget things.”

Still very much a crowd puller, Capper was attracting plenty of attention on set of the new Australian film, Yesterday’s Hero, in Melbourne on Thursday.

Capper plays Robbo in the movie which also features Chris Franklin, Krista Vendy, Fiona O’Loughlin and US actor Cory Feldman.

The film is being produced by Cameron Miller in honour of his late son Shaun Miller, after whom he started the Shaun Miller Foundation, which assists people affected by congenital heart disease.

“It is a very good cause and is a bit of fun,” Capper said.

“Luckily there are only a few lines. They put them on the cheat sheet because I will forget them all. I can’t remember 10 lines, there is no way.”

The Capper legend is set to grow over the coming years with plans for a TV documentary on his life.

Also on the drawing board is a book that would bring together the world of Warwick, which has seen him become the highest profile player in the AFL, release a hit song, appear on Neighbours, dabble as a porn star, star in a much complained about commercial alongside Pamela Anderson, invest in a brothel, host a podcast and appear on reality TV in shows like Big Brother and Celebrity Apprentice. He has several small film roles booked for later this year.
