‘Why Christians aren’t taken seriously’: Ciara slammed for appearing basically naked

Ciara is under siege after walking the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in a totally sheer dress with only a G-string underneath.

The best dress is no dress?

Ciara left nothing to the imagination on the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2023 red carpet, showing up in a totally sheer Dundas halter dress with nothing underneath but a matching G-string.

The singer, 37, showed off all of her Goodies in the sparkling look, which featured crosshatched crystals, a plunging cowl neckline and a low back that showed off the top of her thong.

Ciara’s sizzling look was styled with opera-length black velvet gloves, Christian Louboutin heels and a sleek chin-length bob.

She also covered up her breasts with nude nipple covers — similar to a best-selling $21 pair available on Amazon.

Husband Russell Wilson joined his wife in a co-ordinating (if much more conservative) look, clad in a black velvet coat over a shiny black pant-and-shirt combination.

Ciara posted shots of the outfit to her Instagram the day after the event and was immediately under-siege.

“Only wish money can buy class and dignity,” wrote one.

“No hate but it’s distasteful,” added another.

“I‘m sure I’ll get hate for my opinion, but MY personal feelings are this was unnecessary and honesty tacky,” wrote a third. “I always looked at Ciara as better then this. You have kids, and young women look up to you. It’s not a good example. I believe somethings just don’t need to be out in the public eye.”

There was also backlash on Twitter.

But others defended the look. Commenting on stylist Rob Zangardi’s Instagram post showcasing the star’s style, one person called the look “Supersonic hypnotic”, in a reference to the lyrics of her hit song “1, 2 Step,” while another called it “Unreal.”

“If her husband is fine with it, that’s all approval that truly matters!” wrote another on Instagram.

Ciara and her husband have been open about their Christian faith and even said they abstained from sex until they were married.

Perhaps the almost-nude look was a sneaky way for the mum of three to promote her new skincare brand, OAM, which she called her “secret sauce” and “liquid gold” when she launched the company in August 2022.
