Fore Ed Keller, the 16,600km between him and his homeland feels a little closer every March.
Mr Keller, who is president of the Darling Downs Irish Club, joined hundreds of people who took part in Toowoomba’s iconic St Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday and ended with celebrations at the Irish Club Hotel.
He moved from Dublin to the Garden City about five years ago.
“It is a really special thing for us to be able to do here and the club is really proud of the parade,” Mr Keller said.
Audiences danced to a setlist that included 500-year-old Irish tunes, right through to modern classics from artists like The Cranberries.
Mr Keller said the club was always looking for new members, and you can join the club by searching online.
