The Darling Downs’ largest exhibition of agricultural technology and innovation has drawn in more than 60,000 people and generated $10m in sales.
Elders FarmFest organisers have hailed the three-day event outside Toowoomba as one of the best on record, with more than 2000 exhibitors showcasing an incredible range of farming products and services.
ACM events manager Kate Nugent said the 2023 edition saw an increase in the number of vendors, along with a number of new features.
This included the launch of Agri-Tech Alley, an aisle with 100 top agri-tech companies and brands showcasing innovative products.
“This year we saw a 14 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors, and we’ve had bumper crowds across each day, which has created a lot of buzz and excitement for our exhibitors,” Ms Nugent said.
“We’ve had reports from many exhibitors that sales are up on previous years, and it’s expected to be well into the tens of millions.
“FarmFest brings together producers and exhibitors from all corners of the country.
“It’s a great opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest products and services, and for producers to meet, collaborate, and share the ideas and innovations that they are implementing in their own operations.”
Major sponsor Elders used FarmFest to raise money for the Queensland division of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, raffling off a custom cattle crush that was donated by Bordin Bros.
From their field maintenance and services work undertaken at the 2023 FarmFest, the Lions Club of Toowoomba West raised more than $500,000, one of the largest fundraising results in the club’s history.
