ONE of south-east Queensland's most beloved party bands will be performing for the region's seniors at a series of concerts this month.

The fabulous Memphis Moovers will be shaking up the dance floor during Seniors Week, playing for crowds in Clifton, Millmerran, Crows Nest, Oakey and Cooyar from August 19-23.

Toowoomba Regional Council is the organiser behind the shows, and tourism and events committee chair Cr Geoff McDonald said he wanted to see plenty of people dancing along to the tunes.

"This year, the council has the bold ambitions to celebrate a Queensland for all ages with five morning teas and concerts as part of Seniors Week across our stunning region," Cr McDonald said.

"Seniors Week is an opportunity for people of all ages to get together and celebrate the valuable contributions of older people.

"Each of the Toowoomba region's free events will start with a morning tea at 9.30am.

"So get your grooves moving with the Memphis Moovers at the concerts this Senior's Week."
