Tobey Maguire, 49, raises eyebrows after outing with 20yo model

A movie star has been spotted hanging out with a model that is only three years older than his daughter.

Movie star Tobey Maguire has been seen hanging out with 20-year-old model Lily Chee.

The pair were spotted wearing matching white and attending businessman Michael Rubin’s 4th of July bash — yep, you guessed it — a “wear white” party.

Maguire, 49, kept his look Hamptons chic with white pants and a matching white shirt, and Chee looked gorgeous in a figure-hugging white dress.

Maguire is most famous for his lead role in the early 2000s Spider-Man films. Chee is a model with more than 1.5 million Instagram followers. She’s also only three years older than Maguire’s daughter, Ruby.

The actor has two children with his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer, a well-known jewellery designer.

They have a 17-year-old daughter, Ruby, and a 15-year-old son, Otis, and they separated in 2016.

Meyer responded to a comment on Instagram asking if her ex-husband was dating the model.

The jewellery designer, whose ex-husband is approaching 50, claimed he was just “friends” with the model, who isn’t old enough to drink in America legally.

“I don’t usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car, being a good guy. And now he has blasted online for dating someone he is not. But thank you for your rude comment,” she wrote.

The comment has now been deleted but is still making the rounds online.

Despite his movie star status, Maguire is pretty private.

Still, he is known for his close friendship with fellow movie star Leonardo DiCaprio, 49.

The two actors met when they were teens trying to make it Hollywood, and in 2014, DiCaprio told Esquire he always knew he wanted to be mates with Maguire.

“I just made him my pal. When I want someone to be my friend, I just make them my friend,” he said.

Besides being an incredibly successful actor, Maguire’s pal DiCaprio has become a bit of an internet joke for having a history of dating women under 25.

Online, people weren’t thrilled to see Maguire hanging out with a much younger woman and were quick to compare him to DiCaprio.

“Tobey is Leonardo’s best friend, so it’s all good,” one wrote. Someone else replied, calling the men “birds of a feather.”

Another claimed no one should be “surprised” to see him with a younger woman because he is so close with DiCaprio.

The majority of people online couldn’t get over the vast age gap between Maguire and Chee.

“Spider-Man was released a year before she was born. This is crazy,” one commented.

“What is with old celebrity men and liking significantly younger women?” Another asked.

“Disappointing,” one wrote.

“Gross,” one claimed.

“His daughter is three years younger than her,” another pointed out.

There were also people online who saw nothing wrong with the hefty age gap between the pair.

“I see two consenting adults. What is the issue here?” one asked.

Someone else claimed there was “nothing wrong” with the pairing, and someone else called the potential new couple “goals”.
