A new couple has entered the experiment on MAFS, but it seems the groom already has history with another bride on the show.

A new couple entered the experiment on Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight with their intruder wedding seemingly going off without a hitch.

However, it appears there was one bombshell scene MAFS editors didn’t air on TV and it involved new groom Teejay Halkias and existing bride, Jamie Marinos, who is teamed with Dave Thomas on the show.

According to the Daily Mail, Teejay – who married Beth Kelly in last night’s episode – and Jamie not only knew each other from their hometown in Adelaide, but they apparently hooked up in the past too.

The outlet reports that Jamie actually made this startling revelation during Teejay and Beth’s wedding reception, casually telling guests that she slept with him.

But MAFS editors apparently deleted the X-rated confession from the episode, leaving it on the cutting room floor.

“We were all sitting at the main table, enjoying the wedding, and then Jamie just walked over and said, ‘I slept with Teejay,’” an insider told the outlet.

MAFS intruder couple Teejay and Beth entered the experiment on Monday night’s episode.

“The entire room froze. It was like a grenade had gone off – nobody could believe what they were hearing.”

An unearthed photo of Jamie and Teejay has since resurfaced on social media, showing them looking cosy at the Stereosonic music festival in 2014.

The Advertiser has since asked Jamie about Teejay, during which she confirmed to knowing him from “when I was 17 in Adelaide”. She did not, however, reveal whether they were just friends or romantically involved at the time.

Jamie is said to already know Teejay with reports the pair hooked up in the past.

Teejay and Jamie knew each other as both are from Adelaide.

Jamie and Teejay are not the only participants this year who knew each other before appearing on the show.

Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine briefly dated before meeting again at the altar.

In the premiere episode, they exchanged vows without giving any indication that they were once an item.

But moments after they made it official, their wedding took a dramatic turn when Carina told a producer that she had dated Paul before and he ghosted her.

MAFS stars Carina and Paul also had history before meeting again at the altar.

“What the f**k? Am I gonna get a different guy or what?” she whispered to the producer. “Is there a different option? I KNOW HIM. For f**k’s sake!”

She went on to explain that a few months ago she had drummed up a connection with Paul, but things had fizzled out after their first date, despite her desire to meet up again after the first went so well.

“We matched eight months ago. FaceTimed and messaged and then we went on a hike. But then he just stopped texting,” she said.

“Knowing we have literally crossed paths I’m just so disappointed.”

Rhi and Jeff also dated briefly in the past before being paired on MAFS.

Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels also dated before appearing on the show. The pair were briefly an item before amicably going their separate ways when realising they just weren’t right for each other.

“When I walked down the aisle and Jeff turned around I was like … what the hell. I know him,” Rhi explained.

“We dated for like a month last year. Luckily we ended on really good terms, as we’d both come out of long-term relationships.”

Despite their rocky starts, both Carina and Paul and Rhi and Jeff are seen as two of the most solid couples on the experiment.
