During an episode of The Kardashians, she was chatting with her former brother-in-law Scott Disick when she let it slip that she’s very shy in the bedroom.

Kim and Scott were digging into the perils of modern dating, particularly after her split with comedian Pete Davidson, who was a decade younger than Kim.

“I don’t like the old thing, but I don’t like the young thing either,” she mused.

Scott immediately brought up singer Cher, 77, who famously dated Alexander Edwards, who was three decades younger when the two hooked up.

Kim admitted she was unlikely to sign up for that kind of age difference because it would make her feel “insecure.”

“Well, maybe she’s just secure or has the lights off,” Scott quipped.

“I pretty much have the lights off now,” Kim said.

After their chat, Kim told the camera why she feels shyer in the bedroom than you’d expect.

“It’s so weird. But then I walk out of a photo shoot with 100 people working on set. I can walk out in a thong, but if it is like, you’re there with me, I’m like, ‘Wait, don’t look at me! Turn the lights off,” she shared.

Kardashian’s revelation might be surprising, considering she’s one of the most famous sex symbols of our time.

She’s posed naked for dozens of shoots, she’s released a book called Selfies, and she’s even posed for Playboy.

Yet the star claims she is much more demure than you’d expect.

“My public persona is wild, sexual. But I’m actually uncomfortable when I talk about sex, and I’m more conservative when it comes to that.

“But I’m vain like that. I can go on a set and be fully naked in front of 50 people doing a shoot, but if I’m one-on-one, intimate in bed, I’m like shy and insecure,” she said.

It isn’t all dim lights for the reality star.

She’s also previously revealed exactly what she is like in the bedroom.

“I’m really passionate and sensitive. I don’t really have sex with people I don’t have a connection with, and if you have a connection with someone, it’s so much better,” she told Complex.

Despite this recent confession, the best quote Kim has ever given about her sex life was during an episode of her reality show in 2013.

“If I was a man, I would want to know what it’s like to have sex with myself. I would want to know what it would feel like.”
