Hundreds complain about new TV show Naked Education

An educational new TV show which sees adults strip nude in front of children as young as 14 has been hit with hundreds of viewer complaints.

UK TV network Channel 4 has been hit with nearly 1,000 complaints over their new show which sees adults strip in front of children as young as 14.

Viewers were left shocked at Naked Education, which aims to champion body positivity, and rushed to contact Britain’s broadcasting regulator, Ofcom.

The first episode, which aired on April 4, racked up 920 complaints from angry viewers.

Complaints related to nudity before a late-nigth timeslot, and to this being presented to participants in the program aged 14-16.

The episode saw a group of adults disrobe in front of the teens. One told the youngsters she had stopped shaving her pubic hair.

The six-part series is hosted by Anna Richardson with former Love Island star Dr Alex George.

It sparked huge debate among TV stars and even politicians.

Broadcaster Kate Garraway said on Good Morning Britain: “There’s something about the physicality of a stranger being naked in front of a teenager which I just feel uncomfortable about.”

British MP Jonathan Gullis raged: “How on earth Channel 4 believe this show to be appropriate bewilders me.

“Adults stripping off in front of kids is not how responsible sex education should happen.”

The latest episode saw a discussion on topic of male bodies – with the teenage boys being asked about the average size of a man’s penis, before the men then stripped off to reveal their manhood.

It has already led to viewers demanding it is taken off air.

Channel 4 said: “All the teenagers who participated did so with appropriate consent. They and their guardians were fully aware and prepared to take part in the item about body taboos and all had support throughout.”
