Abbie reveals secret Masked Singer warning

The Masked Singer newcomer admitted bosses aren’t thrilled about one of the tactics she’s employed on the judges’ panel this season. WARNING: Spoilers.

The Masked Singer judge Abbie Chatfield has revealed that one of the techniques she’s been using on the show has been called out by producers.

The former Bachelor star-turned-radio host made her debut on the panel this year alongside other newcomers Chrissie Swan, ex-Spice Girl Melanie “Mel B” Brown, and Masked Singer veteran Dave Hughes.

Appearing on Ten news comedy program The Cheap Seats on Tuesday night, Chatfield, 27, revealed that she’d been given a warning by bosses to stop focusing on “heights”.

“I was told I was height-obsessed and to stop obsessing over heights, because it was ruining the fantasy and that it could be someone else,” she told the hosts.

“But I was like, I know how tall Osher [Günsberg] is, and I’m going to work back from there – and I was usually right.”

Chatfield has been focusing on one specific feature.

A clip was also played during the segment from The Masked Singer last week, where an excited Chatfield was explaining why she thought Mirrorball was US singer Christina Milian.

“She’s like, very short, 157cm … I googled!” she announced, clearly impressing the other judges with her tactic.

It comes after a second wildcard contestant was unmasked and sent packing on Tuesday night’s episode of The Masked Singer.

And after a less-than-professional rendition of The Monkees’ classic I’m A Believer, the gnome was revealed to be former MasterChef judge Matt Preston.

The gnome was a wildcard on Tuesday night.

He was unmasked as Matt Preston.

So far this season, we’ve seen celebs including Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney, swimming champ Lisa Curry and Aussie actress Pia Miranda revealed as the performers underneath the masks.

And this week, a couple more big Australian stars, with Jamie Durie unveiled on Sunday’s episode and ex-Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins revealed the following night.
