Australian drag superstar Courtney Act has stripped naked at one of her hometown’s most iconic sightseeing spots for a special reason.

Courtney Act has stripped naked to post at an iconic spot in her hometown of Brisbane.

The Drag superstar climbed to the top of Brisbane’s Story Bridge and posed naked in her drag make up.

The Aussie star stripped down to her birthday suit to mark the opening weekend of Brisbane’s queer art festival.

Brisbane Powerhouse’s major celebration of LGBTQIA+ arts and allies, MELT FESTIVAL, takes over Brisbane from 23 October – 10 November.

The cities iconic Story Bridge is set to be home to even more naked people over the weekend when thousands are set to strip off for photographer Spencer Tunick.

The New York-born artist, famed for organising large-scale nude shoots often involving thousands of volunteers at a time, has taken photos in Australia everywhere from the steps of the Sydney Opera House to Bondi Beach to the top of a Woolies car park in Prahran.

Speaking to news.com.au ahead of his latest trip down under, Tunick said he’d noticed Australia kept drawing him back of late.

“I think it’s the people: Australians enjoy the variations in weather, the challenge of getting up early in the morning and getting through a brisk sunrise. I think Australia is up for a little bit more of an adventure than other countries.”

It comes after Act has finally revealed whether there’s truth behind her rumoured long-running feud with RuPaul.

Act rose to fame on Australian Idol before achieving international fame on season six of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but unlike many stars of the reality show, she has never made a return on a subsequent season.

“I don’t know … I mean, there’s never been … I’m definitely on, like, the bad kids’ list,” Act said. “I’m off the Christmas card list,” she revealed.

“Although I did make it back on, there is a literal Christmas card list. I remember I wasn’t on it for years, and then all of a sudden, I got my world of wonder, like, block of RuPaul chocolate and a Christmas card, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m back on the Christmas card list!’”
