Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone has still got it, flaunting her figure in a string bikini as she posed for a mirror selfie to mark the end of summer in the US.

Sharon Stone shared a stunning bikini selfie on Instagram on Saturday, marking the end of US beach season in a colourful printed swimsuit.

“Why do I always get in shape when summer’s over?” the 64-year-old Basic Instinct star captioned the snap, which shows her posing in the bold two-piece in front of a mirror, with a portrait of Marilyn Monroe in the background, New York Post reports.

Stone’s celebrity friends couldn’t get enough of her bikini body, with Queer Eye For The Straight Guy star Carson Kressley commenting: “It’s never too late to be fabulous.”

Added model Paulina Porizkova, “Lady, you’re always in shape to slay,” while Lisa Rinna gushed, “You are just hot,” with a series of flame emojis.

Singer Chantelle Delaney Sinclair told Stone: “I think you and that bikini need to head to Australia and we can sit by my pool (while you motivate me to get in shape like that).”

Billy Eichner, Sam Smith, Marcia Gay Harden and Carla Bruni also chimed in with approving comments.

Stone’s swimsuit snaps always cause a stir on social media. In July, the Oscar winner posed topless in a green leopard-print bikini bottom, with a striped towel draped over her shoulders.

And last year, Stone modelled a sunny yellow two-piece to celebrate the start of summer.

Despite it all, the actress doesn’t think of herself as a sex symbol.

“I mean, I never thought I was that sexy,” she told Town & Country in 2020. “When I did Basic Instinct, I explored my dark side and made friends with my dark side. I got to not be afraid of my own self. I think people find that sexy.”

Added Stone of her image as a Hollywood bombshell, “It’s difficult, because everybody expects you to be that all the time … People still want to see my boobs. It’s like, ‘Really? Grow up!’”
