Grainy photos have emerged of two major celebrities stepping out for a “dinner date”, with the unexpected pairing sending fans into a frenzy.

Grainy photos have emerged of unlikely pairing, showing pop singer Sabrina Carpenter and actor Barry Keoghan hanging out, and the internet is shocked.

Carpenter, 24, is having a big year; she’s been opening up for Taylor Swift on her ERAs tour and winning over fans with her bubblegum pop sound.

She’s known for her glittery outfits, signature blonde hair and helping make the micro miniskirt fashionable again.

Meanwhile, Keoghan, 31, who is enjoying the success of his new film Saltburn, is an Irish actor known for being nominated for an Oscar for his work in The Banshees of Inisherin.

While Carpenter is a former Disney star and a glossy singer, Keoghan is known for playing gritty roles and being pretty anti-Hollywood.

He seems like the kind of guy who will be spotted downing a beer at a pub, not buying a $15 green juice in LA.

Carpenter’s background is acting in cute Disney Shows like Girls Meets World and Keoghan’s background involves amateur boxing. Nevertheless, the two were spotted together at night, and it was giving major date vibes.

Pop culture X account, Pop Crave, posted about the alleged date and let the internet know the gossip.

“Sabrina Carpenter was spotted on a dinner date with Barry Keoghan in Los Angeles,” the account wrote.

The post has been viewed over seven million times and people online were surprised by the pairing as it was recently rumoured Carpenter was seeing fellow clean-cut singer Shawn Mendes, and this is a far more unexpected choice.

“That’s an interesting pairing! Wonder what that’s about,” one commented.

“Is this real or an AI creation?” one fan asked.

“Barry Keoghan of all people? I’m shaking right now,” another claimed.

“It can’t be,” another tweeted.

Still, some people were sold on the unlikely pairing. Someone commented that they were a “cute couple”, and another shared that Carpenter should date him because Keoghan is “cute.”

Last year, Keoghan welcomed a son with his partner, dental nurse Alyson Kierans, but according to The Sun the two reportedly quietly split sometime this year.

Meanwhile, Carpenter is currently single after being famously embroiled in a Generation Z love triangle.

She famously dated Joshua Bassett right after Olivia Rodrigo did.

Rodrigo’s smash hit break-up song Driver’s License contains the lyrics, “You’re probably with that blonde girl,” well, Carpenter been long-rumoured to be that very blonde Rodrigo was worrying about.
