Sydney confidential can reveal Oprah Winfrey is heading down under for the first time in 15 years.
The TV mogul will holiday here in November, but sources say she is also planning five in conversation events across the country.
It is understood promoter TEG Dainty is behind the events.
Her last visit in 2010 saw Winfrey tape four episodes of her final season at the Sydney Opera House, dubbed the “Oprah House” for the occasion which brought 300 American fans with her.
The five million dollar taxpayer-funded trip drew criticism at the time, though Winfrey defended the spend as a tourism boost, with the episodes broadcast in 145 countries.
From Hugh Jackman’s zip line mishap to giveaways including laptops, pearl necklaces, and a $250,000 donation to a cancer patient, her visit left a lasting impression.
