Bizarre concert videos spark fears for music legend Frankie Valli

Four Seasons singer Frankie Valli is still touring exhaustively aged 90 – but clips from his recent concerts have to be seen to be believed.

Concert videos spark concerns for music legend

There are concerns for music legend Frankie Valli as footage from the 90-year-old singer’s recent concerts show him looking frail and lost, barely miming along to his own songs.

Former Four Seasons frontman Valli has a vast array of hits both with that group and as a solo artist – and despite turning 90 in May, he still tours regularly.

Understandably given his age, Valli leans heavily on backing singers to help out during his performances – but it’s Valli’s own bizarre demeanour that has fans concerned.

Clips circulating on social media in recent weeks show the music veteran appearing confused and haunted, staring vacantly into space and barely moving his lips as iconic hits like Grease and Big Girls Don’t Cry play out, apparently using his original vocals recorded when he was a young man more than 60 years ago.

And this isn’t an isolated incident, either: A YouTube video asking ‘Is Frankie Valli OK?’ compiles vision for numerous recent concerts by the star.

Fans have expressed their dismay at the bizarre footage in the comments below.

“Putting him out in front of an audience like that should be considered elder abuse,” one fan claimed.

“He’s clearly being forced to perform. He looks like he doesn’t know where he is or what’s really going on. Whoever is making him go on should be ashamed!” another wrote.

Another called it “more sad than funny,” while one fan questioned how Valli’s band and backing dancers were able to perform alongside him: “Everyone on that stage should be ashamed of themselves.”

Worryingly, Valli’s got many more shows booked in his immediate future, with the tour section of his website showing back-to-back shows this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights across three different US states. He’s scheduled to do 15 shows across the US before the year is out, with another 13 booked for 2025 – taking him up to his 91st birthday.

Valli’s team recently issued a statement on social media addressing the mounting speculation about his health.

“Frankie is doing just fine and super happy to still be performing. The audiences are filling venues and listening to some great music. Frankie is doing what he loves to do at 90 …. we should all be so lucky!” the statement read.
