Kylie Minogue has been confirmed to headline the opening night of the Splendour in the Grass festival in July after the line-up leaked online ahead of its scheduled reveal on Wednesday.
Minogue’s homecoming show on July 19, after conquering the globe with Padam Padam, will be an exclusive gig for the festival.
Her Splendour slot will come less than a week after she headlines the July 13 concert for the epic BST Hyde Park summer concerts in London.
On Wednesday, Minogue took to social media to confirm “I’m coming home!”
“AUSTRALIA …. I’m coming home! ?? I can’t wait to join this amazing line up in North Byron Park for Splendour In The Grass 2024!!! Tickets on sale 21st March at 9am AEDT. ”
Her appearance at the winter alternative music celebration is believed to have been inspired by the Legends slot at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK which Kylie played in 2019.
It’s been a watershed year for the pop superstar, winning another Grammy, continuing to sell out gigs at her Las Vegas residency and radiating on the Vanity Fair Oscars party red carpet.
