Britney Spears to record Tiny Dancer duet with Elton John in comeback

Britney Spears is making a comeback to music but it won’t be the same sound fans are familiar with, after she teamed up with another megastar.

Britney Spears is making her much-anticipated return to music by secretly recording a duet with Elton John of his song Tiny Dancer.

The pop star, 40, met with John, 75, at a Beverly Hills recording studio last week to cut a new take on his beloved 1971 classic, The New York Post reports.

The track is set to be released by Universal Music next month, the Post says.

“This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a full duet — and it is incredible,” one music industry insider told the Post.

“Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt.”

“They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good,” the source told the Post.

“They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer.

“Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited.”

Tiny Dancer” was written by John and Bernie Taupin. It was originally released on John’s 1971 album, Madman Across the Water, and then as a single in 1972.

The much-loved song was not a hit when it was first released but had a resurgence when it was used in the famous tour bus scene in Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film Almost Famous.

Spears’ comeback comes a month after her wedding to personal trainer Sam Asghari.

The pop star was freed last November from a conservatorship run by her father that controlled her life and money for nearly 14 years.
