Australians have been left fuming at the “exploitative” and “disgraceful” cost of tickets to the Oasis reunion show that went on sale today.

Australian Oasis fans have slammed the price of tickets for the band’s highly anticipated reunion tour.

Pre-sale tickets for the Australian leg of the British band’s reunion tour went on sale on Monday, but many have been left aghast at the cost of the tickets.

Some fans have revealed that they had to spend more than $300 for a ticket.

According to Live Nation, the average price for concert tickets in Australia in 2024 was $125, which makes the Oasis tickets more than twice the average in some cases.

As the sales went live, fans rushed to social media to lash out at the “crazy” cost of tickets.

“Did anyone get pre-sale Oasis GA tickets in Melbourne that weren’t $330?,” complained one fan.

Another wrote on X: “$250 minimum for Oasis. Apparently, the $140 advertised online quickly went to $180, which was then for only an odd single seat. Nosebleed, last row $250 minimum. Can’t justify that!”

Australian Oasis fans struggle with pre-sale tickets

One fan said they couldn't justify the prices: “First time I’ve ever not bought tickets for a concert because they were ridiculously overpriced.”

Fans were scrambling on Monday in virtual queues to get their hands on pre-sale tickets, with some reporting technical issues and being behind 20,000 others.

Many complained of the prices for the tickets to their four shows - two in Melbourne and two in Sydney.

Fans have also complained of drastically long queues and technical issues.

General sales for the shows will begin on Tuesday, October 15 at 10am in Melbourne and 12pm in Sydney.

Ticket purchases are restricted to four per customer and can only be purchased through the Ticketmaster website.

In Melbourne, tickets will range from $183.28 to $407.57, with booking fees of $9.90.

While for the band’s shows in Sydney, tickets will be priced between $187.39 to $411.67, with booking fees of $8.95.

The band will headline a stadium show in Melbourne on October 31, then in Sydney on November 7.

The Britpop rockers shot to global stardom in the ’90s, with their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe becoming the fastest-selling debut album in British history.

The following year (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was released with smash hits Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova, with Wonderwall topping the ARIA Top 10 charts for 11 weeks in a row following its release.
