It has been an almost two decades long wait but American pop rock superstars Jonas Brothers have finally booked their first Australian tour.
After teasing the tour when they released their recent record The Album in May, the sibling trio have confirmed five arena concerts in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in March next year.
The tour will kick off at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on March 1 and 2 and then head to the Brisbane Enterytainment Centre on March 5 before winding up at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on March 8 and 9.
The brothers, who became a global sensation via their appearances on the Disney Channel from 2005, first hit No. 1 in Australia in 2019 with their smash hit Sucker when they reunited after a six-year hiatus.
Since then they have maintained a presence in the ARIA charts with a succession of streaming hits including Cool, Only Human, Lonely (with Diplo), What A Man Gotta Do and Leave Before You Love Me (with Marshmello).
Joe Jonas, who is married to game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, enjoyed huge success during the band’s split with his side project DNCE and their song Cake By The Ocean in 2015.
Australian fans have been begging the trio to perform here since their reunion with many flooding their recent Instagram tease of imminent world tour dates with entreaties to head down under.
“Please! You literally have a song called Australia but have never toured here,” commented Miss Lucy Carrington.
The first round of tickets will be available via a Vodafone pre-sale from 11am on August 4 via vodafone.com.au/ticket.
A Live Nation pre-sale will run from august 7 from noon with the general tickets sale launching on August 8 at 1pm.
