Disney confirmed that principle filming on the new movie, which reunites Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill alongside others such as Lupita Nyong’o and Girls star Adam Driver, has wrapped.
The cast joined director JJ Abrams at a party to celebrate the end of filming, Entertainment Weekly reports.
However, it will now enter months of post-production and is scheduled for a December 18, 2015 release. The film will pick up 30 years after the end of Return of the Jedi.
