The New York Post reports that the Bridesmaids beauty who recently starred with her real-life live-in boyfriend, Bobby Cannavale, in Annie suggested Cannavale be cast in her new movie Adult Beginners.

Byrne told Nick Kroll, who hatched the idea for the project, “This would be perfect for Bobby” when Kroll courted her for a role, a source said.

Kroll not only agreed but said he’d actually written a part with Cannavale in mind.

The film follows a burnt-out entrepreneur who moves in with his sister in the suburbs, then becomes her family’s nanny.
