THE Harry Potter franchise is to make a sensational reappearance in 2016.
No cast members have been announced, but Warner Bros has slated the first film in its spin-off trilogy Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for November, according to Variety.
Author J.K. Rowling has written the screen adaptation based on her Hogwarts textbook, which she squeezed in between publication of the fourth and fifth Potter books.

Narrated by “magizoologist” Newt Scamander, Fantastic Beasts is set 70 years before the start of the Harry Potter story.
The studio has yet to appoint a producer, director or actors for the project, which was announced in September.
But at the time of the initial announcement, Warner Bros chief Kevin Tsujihara stressed his commitment to quality.
“The lifeblood of the studio is the content,” he said. “We’ve had a long, long relationship with Clint Eastwood, Peter Jackson, Chris Nolan, Todd Phillips, Zack Snyder, and you want to make sure you can create a culture where they want to work.”
The eight Harry Potter films grossed $7.7 billion worldwide between 2001 and 2011. Four of the eight opened in mid-November.
The new movie will come out exactly 12 months after the Hunger Games franchise takes its final bow with Mockingjay Part 2.
