A nepotism love triangle is playing out over the internet, and the young people can’t look away.

Millennials had the excitement of Twilight’s love triangle between Jacob, Bella and Edward. Now, Gen Zers have TikTok stars and the children of famous people’s complex romantic relationships to obsess over.

Landon Barker, the teenage son of Travis Barker and the stepson of Kourtney Kardashian, is currently teasing the release of his first single.

It is titled Friends With Your Ex, which seems like a pretty clear reference to the fact his current girlfriend, Charli D’Amelio, used to date his former close friend Lil Huddy.

He has been posting TikToks that are amassing millions of views sharing snippets of the song and even Kourtney is getting involved.

If you’re not on TikTok, you are about to become very confused.

Landon, 19, is dating social media influencer Charli D’Amelio.

Charli is TikTok royalty and has over 100 million followers on the social media app. She’s known for doing dances and being Charli.

She previously dated Cole Chase Hudson, known professionally as Huddy, another social media star and singer with over 11 million followers on Instagram.

Charli and Huddy dated for around two years on and off, but they finally called things off for good in 2020.

During Charli and Huddy’s romance, Landon and Huddy were good mates. They appeared on each other’s social media, and Huddy seemed to be in the inner Barker circle.

He even attended Kourtney Kardashian’s Italian wedding to Travis Barker, and it was only in January this year that Landon was posted content of Huddy in Landon’s dad’s recording studio.

Things started to get complicated when Landon started dating Charli around April 2022, and they’ve been together ever since.

Now, Huddy and Landon don’t follow each other on social media, and Huddy released a song in July 2022 called ‘All the Things I Hate About You.’

He also seemed to heavily allude to the drama surrounding him, Landon and Charli and sang about an ex that was a “homie hopper” and a “drama starter.”

Landon and Charli didn’t comment on the song — which quickly went viral on TikTok — but now, over a year later, it seems like Landon’s weighing in.

He has been teasing his new song on TikTok, and some pretty exciting lyrics are already popping up.

“I was friends with your ex. You were with him when we met. Guess he hasn’t found out yet, but I know he’s gonna kill me when he sees me with you,” he croons.

The release of this song and dragging up old drama is thrilling the young people on TikTok who are commenting with their concerns, theories and excitement.

“This is insane,” someone commented.

“You are being too specific,” another claimed.

“Betrayal at its finest,” someone else wrote.

“If you asked me, they should move on and leave Huddy alone. Like you have the girl, bro,” another commented.
