Sam had attempted to purchase Taylor Swift tickets for her young daughter, Charlie, when she realised a scammer had instead ended up stealing her hard-earned money.

Kyle, 52, and Jackie, 48, were touched by the story, and immediately jumped to action to ensure Sam’s daughter would still get to see the pop superstar’s Eras Tour.

“Hi Charlie, Kyle and Jackie O have come to the rescue with free concert tickets. We are going to give you our tickets so you can go see her for free,” Kyle told the nine-year-old.

Charlie burst into tears after realising she would be seeing Swift in concert after all, and as she fell to the ground her mum crouched on her knees to give her a hug.

“I couldn’t have a little sweetheart like you be so excited to see her but then have someone steal the tickets. So, you’re going to go see her,” added the radio host.

It comes after The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission’s (ACCC) Scamwatch issued a warning after receiving 273 reports of people being scammed buying tickets to The Eras Tour via social media since they first went on sale in Australia in June 2023.

Scamwatch said the reports amount to losses of over $135,000 so far, however it has previously reported that only around 13 per cent of scams are reported to Scamwatch, meaning the actual losses could be in the millions.

ACCC deputy chair Catriona Lowe said she is “concerned that scam activity is only going to increase” as the concert dates in February get closer.

Meanwhile, it comes as fans of the popstar are being told not to head to her shows in Sydney if they don’t have a ticket. Bosses at Accor Stadium say “only fans with a valid ticket should attend the precinct,” when the pop princess performs on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.
