Kyle and Jackie O reignite Steve Price feud on-air

Kyle and Jackie O have reignited their public dispute with a radio rival, leaving him an abusive voicemail live on-air this morning.

Kyle Sandilands and co-host Jackie O have fanned the flames of their ongoing public dispute with fellow radio veteran Steve Price, with Sandilands leaving Price an abusive voicemail live on-air this morning.

The two parties have been locked in a war of words in recent weeks, with Price publicly expressing his distaste at the Sydney duo’s racy on-air antics as they move into the Melbourne market.

A stunt during Friday’s episode of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, which saw Jackie O don a VR headset to watch porn during the show, raised Price’s hackles once more.

Price told his viewers watching his Sky News show on Friday night that Kyle had “forced Jackie O to put on virtual reality goggles and watch pornography live on air, on radio as if she was a male.”

“How do we let this stuff go to air, for God’s sake?” he asked.

But Sandilands hit back at Price’s comments this morning. “These types think that we sit around and go, ‘Oh if we make Jackie watch porn, we’ll get attention’. We don’t care about attention,” he insisted.

The pair also took issue with Price’s claim that Kyle had “forced” Jackie O to watch porn “as if she was a male,” and fielded a call from a listener named Julie who spoke enthusiastically about her own porn usage.

Sandilands then took his complaints directly to Price, calling his radio rival on-air and leaving him a lengthy voicemail – even letting listner Julie join in.

Kyle hit back at Price’s criticisms today.

Jackie O scoffed at the suggestion she was “forced” into the stunt.

“Hey, Steve, Kyle and Jackie again. You always say you want to talk about this s**t and you’re a real b***h about everything. Every week we ring you back and you still hide. We’ve got Julie on the phone. She’s rung in. She saw your segment. She heard Jackie’s porn segment,” Kyle said, before Jackie asked Julie to “say hi to Steve. Let him know how much you love porn.”

Julie told Price that “virtual reality porn is the best, so maybe you should give it a try. It might lighten you up a little bit.”

Sandilands finished the voicemail by instructing Price to “shove that up your a**e,” before hanging up.

Sandilands and Price have traded barbs in the past, but their feud exploded last month when Price addressed Sandilands directly in a take-down on The Project.

“Kyle, last time I mentioned you on this program I called you a grubby buffoon. That was a compliment in hindsight,” Price said on The Project.

“That garbage you put to air this morning, sexualised rubbish, toxic, nobody should listen to it and you will be a massive failure in Melbourne.”

Price continued, accusing Sandilands of sending him a “threatening message” last November after his “grubby buffoon” comments, and he dared the KIIS FM star to “do it again.”

That November 2023 message was another on-air voicemail, with Sandilands this time saying: “I can’t wait to see you face-to-face, buddy, it’s been too long. It’s disappointing that as you get older, you’ve just turned into a real piece of s**t.”
