Isla Fisher speaks publicly for first time since separation from Sacha Baron Cohen

With Sacha Baron Cohen embroiled in a feud with Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher has remained mum on her surprise marriage split from the Borat star - until now.

Isla Fisher has shared a heartwarming update about her life post-split with Sacha Baron Cohen.

The former Australian soap star posted a happy snap to her Instagram story with a message directed at her fans.

“Thank you for all your kindness and support,” she wrote, signing off with a kiss emoji.

The accompanying photograph showed a smiling Fisher relaxing outdoors in a cute flowing dress with sunlight beaming down on her face as she sipped a glass of rose wine.

The news will come as a relief to fans of the Wedding Crashers actor who has not spoken publicly since she jointly announced her break-up with Cohen, 52, last month.

The pair had been together since 2001 and married for 14 of those years.

“After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage,” they said in a statement in April.

“We have always prioritised our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. “We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

While Fisher has remained quiet until now, the Ali G star has been involved in a vocal feud with Australian actor Rebel Wilson.

The high-profile stoush coincided with the couple’s decision to announce the end of their marriage.

Cohen’s legal team forced Wilson to publish redacted versions of her new memoir Rebel Rising which contained allegations Cohen behaved badly on the set of 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby.

Fisher is also a former co-star of Wilson with the pair appearing together in 2012 comedy Bachelorette.

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby,” Cohen said about Wilson’s memoir in a statement.

Fisher and Cohen continue to co-parent their two daughters Olive, 16, and Elula, 13, and son, Montgomery, 8, whose privacy they have long guarded.

The diminutive 48-year-old captured the hearts of Australia when she appeared on Home and Away in 1994.

The star has barely aged a day since her time as Summer Bay schoolgirl Shannon Reed.
