Home and Away actor James Stewart has stunned his followers after taking to social media to show off the results of his recent health journey.

James Stewart has showed off his impressive 12kg weight loss on Instagram.

Home and Away actor James Stewart has shared the incredible results of his recent lifestyle overhaul.

The 47-year-old Australian star, who plays Justin Morgan on the long-running Seven soap, has dropped 12kg after embarking on a fitness journey, without the help of a personal trainer.

Stewart could be seen posing shirtless in the gym, flaunting his impressive six pack.

In a lengthy Instagram caption, Stewart explained he weighed in at 100kg when he decided to make a change.

“I was sluggish … wore baggy shirts and didn’t feel great,” he wrote.

James Stewart has revealed he’s lost 12kg.

Stewart said the key realisation that made him want to get in shape was to keep up with his daughter, 10-year-old Scout, whom he shares with his ex Jessica Marais.

“The thing that got me the most was that I couldn’t keep up with my kid … now she has trouble keeping up with me! Haha!”

Stewart, who joined Home and Away in 2016 after rising to fame on Packed to the Rafters in 2010, said it was the second time he had tasked himself with shedding kilos – only this time, he did it alone.

“To all of you trying to get in shape I’m not gunna (sic) sugar coat it … instead of beers and burgers grab a protein shake and a salad. then just put your trainers on and go train! Sounds simple … but it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I’ve done it twice.

Stewart said he feels like a “better man”.

“As fit as I am physically it’s my mental fitness that is my favourite benefit. I feel good about myself. A better man, a better husband, a better father.”

Stewart, who is married to fellow Home and Away actress Sarah Roberts, was praised by his colleagues in the comments section.

Fellow soap star Georgie Parker wrote, “Man that’s such a great accomplishment. You look healthy and HAPPY.”
