Harry Styles has capped off an extraordinary Australian tour in spectacular fashion – enlisting the help of an Australian music icon.

Harry Styles has already shown an eagerness to embrace Australia with the fair dinkum shoey, but in his final show of his Australian schedule, he orchestrated something even more iconic.

The moment had been brewing for days after the superstar Brit first performed Daryl Braithwaite’s The Horses during his Perth stop.

Braithwaite, the man behind the 1990s hit, got a first hand look at Style’s rendition at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium where he described the concert as ‘overwhelming’.

“What an extraordinary night it was at Harry’s gig,” he said on Facebook afterwards.

“I just love the feeling of these massive concerts as they take on a life of (their) own. Harry Styles is so good at what he does and they loved him. I was completely overwhelmed by the night.”

But on Saturday night, in front of a monster Accor Stadium crowd, the in-person musical team up happened.

The pair hugged and it was on.

Footage from the gig shows the crowd erupt as Braithwaite and Styles share bars of the track.

And of course the crowd did their fair share of singing along to what is perhaps Australia’s biggest earworm.

Accor Stadium’s official Twitter account shared a wide shot of the crowd.

“It’s a Where Were You Moment in Australian entertainment history,” it exclaimed.

“Pop icon Harry Styles has brought the curtain down on his tour in Australia with an amazing duo with Aussie legend Daryl Braithwaite … belting out a rendition of The Horses in front of 70k fans.”

Styles made Australian super-fans’ dreams come true on other occasions this tour.

The pop sensation graced audiences a live performance of his unreleased hit, “Medicine,” which fans have been begging to hear after he debuted it live in 2018.

Despite the fans’ yearning for the track, he has kept it off the record.

With only a few rare performances since its debut, “Medicine” has achieved a legendary status among fans.
